Does a straight bathroom remodel even need a permit?
If you are only replacing finishes, often not. The moment plumbing moves, electrical is added, or a wall changes, it does. We will tell you when you do not need us, because a permit you did not need is a bill you should not have paid.
Can one permit cover the kitchen and the bathroom?
Usually yes when it is one project at one address under one scope. If the department wants them split we will say so before filing rather than after.
Who pulls the trade permits?
They can go on the same submittal or separately depending on the city and on who is doing the work. Tell us which subs are involved and we will route it the way that costs you the least.
