Do I need engineering for a patio cover?
For anything but the smallest structures, yes, and most aluminium kits ship with a pre-engineered stamped set. The work is not finding engineering, it is marking the correct details for your span, load, and attachment so the reviewer is not left guessing.
Can you draw the site plan?
Yes. We work from parcel data and aerial imagery, and we include it in the quote when you need it. It is a permit exhibit, not a boundary survey, and we say so on the sheet.
What usually gets rejected?
Setbacks, lot coverage, and attachment detail, in that order. A cover drawn too close to the rear line is the classic one, and it is cheaper to catch before submittal than after.
